Originally from North Bay, Ontario, Steve Vossos now lives in Kelowna, BC, and is a self-taught artist. Throughout his childhood, he developed a love for drawing comics. Over time, Steve taught himself how to paint with watercolours to enhance his pen and ink drawings. His interest in literature led him to obtain an Honors English Degree at the University of Alberta. In recent years, Steve rediscovered his love for making comics, by creating and self publishing graphic novel adaptations of two classics: Dickens A Christmas Carol, and Bunyan’s The Pilgrim’s Progress. Both graphic novels marry Steve’s love of sequential art and English literature.
Both graphic novels were drawn with quill pens, brushes and many jars of ink. The printed works were reduced to an 8 1/2″ x 11″ book format. The front and back covers are printed on high quality linen cardstock and the internal pages are printed on glossy white paper. Each book was hand bound using a traditional stab-binding technique.
Steve considers his books to be labours of love and is pleased to share them with one and all, now and for years to come.
